Your Kingdom Come

One God, one faith, one church
Here at Equip Mozambique, we believe the Gospel is extremely practical, not just spiritual. Jesus taught us to pray, "Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven" (Matt 6:10). We believe this means that as we pray and actively live out our faith, that our communities around us will transform to become places of Shalom wholeness, with thriving families and peace-filled society the way God intended His people to live.

Equip Mozambique is a inter-denominational Christian organization that welcomes and works with people from a variety of church backgrounds. Even so, we do hold these core beliefs as central to who we are and what we do:

We Believe...

Trinity

We believe in one God, eternally subsistent in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Deut 6:4, Matt 28:19, and Mic 12:29)

read-book

We believe in the inspired Word of the Holy Bible, the only infallible rule of faith, life, and Christian character (2 Tim 3:14)

We believe in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ, in His vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection from the dead, and His victorious ascension into heaven (Isa 7:14, Rom 8:34, and Acts 1:9)

We believe in the sinfulness of humanity which stripped us of the glory of God, and that only repentance and faith in the atoning work of Jesus Christ can restore us into relationship with God (Rom 3:23, and Acts 3:19)

We believe in the absolute necessity of a new birth by faith in Christ and the active power of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God to make people worthy of the Kingdom of Heaven (John 3:3-8)

We believe in the forgiveness of sins, the present and perfect salvation and eternal justification of souls which are received freely from God through faith in the sacrifice made by Jesus Christ on our behalf (Acts 10:43, Rom 10:13, Hebrews 7:25, and 3:24-26; 5:9)

We believe in the biblical baptism in water, in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, as determined by the Lord Jesus Christ (Matt 28:19; Rom 6:1-6 and Col 2:12)

Stairs2

We believe we have both the need and the possibility to live holy lives through the atoning and redemptive work of Jesus on Calvary, through the regenerating, inspiring, and sanctifying of the Holy Spirit who empowers us to live as faithful witnesses to the power of Christ (Heb 9:14, and 1 Pet 1:15)

We believe in the biblical baptism in the Holy Spirit given to us by God through the intercession of Christ (Acts 1:5; 2:4; 10:44-46; 19:1-7)

We believe that spiritual gifts are distributed in the present time by the Holy Spirit to the Church for its construction, according to God’s sovereign will (1 Cor 12:1-12)

We believe that all Christians will appear before the Judgment Seat of Christ, to receive the reward of their deeds in the cause of Christ on earth (2 Cor 5:10)

We believe in the coming judgment that will reward the faithful and condemn those whose lives did not align with God’s purpose and will (Rev 20:11-15)
